Minneapolis alone has a backlog of over 700 requested traffic calming projects. This shouldn’t be a controversial issue! Public safety needs to mean more than shoveling endless money to cops; it needs to mean addressing the causes of violence in our city - and out of control drivers are a big cause!

KSTP has three separate news stories up from just the past week about children being hit by drivers in the Twin Cities. This is the true cost of us refusing to actually fund traffic calming.

Saint Paul would have a similar number if they had set up a mechanism to receive requests. But they don’t want to hear them since they know they can’t implement any of them.
