As always when doing the contrast stretching at the end, I'm struck by just how unnatural those galaxy images are. In a more realistic linear mapping of brightness-in-the-sky to image brightness, you see nothing in that image. Only when you tease out the teeny-tiny region of contrast 3/

that separates the galaxy from the background do you get an image like that. Which is absolutely misleading, brightness-wise. Very good to see the structure, of course. 4/
