The whole purpose of sine rule should be to show the scale factor from a to b, so a/b = sinA/sinB makes so much more sense! Equally, cosine rule should be to show that the 'trick' of Pythag is actually applicable to all, so a^2+b^2-2abcosC = c^2, showing that last bit if compensation for the angle
