I put eighty hours into Balatro, and I'm still surprised by what it throws at me. Yes, it can be random, but it's also about knowing the possibility space _so well_ that you build your deck around your Jokers instead of continuously chasing the One Perfect Joker for your deck.

That makes a lot of sense to me! I've put... 2many into Slay the Spire; I'm still not very good and yet I'm still fascinated by the ways you have to learn to adapt to progress at higher difficulties with the same base cards. Balatro's got that too, AND it's more accessible than Slay IMO!
