I'm on your side in this, it completely sucks, and i have no dog in this fight. But to claim it is "inscrutable" with nothing actionable is to admit to being a.) disingenuous or b.) deficient in elementary-level reading comprehension.
I think it would be a really funny prank if one night they changed the internet so that every place it said "login" it now said "frogin" and then just didn't tell anyone they did it.
