Bose didn't really grow up oppressed though. From a wealthy high caste Hindu family which did very nicely out of the British, and given an expensive English education. Not really any different to Amery, or to William Joyce and Unity Mitford for that matter. Just another psychotic rich kid.

And as a member fo a caste which believed that food was rendered inedible if a Dalit's shadow fell across it, not exactly at the bottom of the tree of oppression even if you take a fundamentalist view of the colonial dynamic.
