As I say, I’ve been guilty of some of this. I used the term “infodemic” in work around that time (indeed, in the co-authored work I did with TDP back when it was back of Te Punaha Matatini, and a book chapter on COVID-19 conspiracy theories in Aotearoa). I regret that now

I especially regret it because years earlier I wrote an entire article (“Debunking conspiracy theories”) on why such language is inappropriate in the study of conspiracy theories, so I was going against my own arguments!
