Man, this fucks me up. I needed years of therapy after doing this shit in Afghanistan as an adult and these kids are like 15 (& have more poise under fire than many adults I encountered downrange). We will never be forgiven - nor should we - for letting it get this way.
During the mass shooting in Georgia yesterday, a bunch of students in a statistics class went out into the hall to drag in their teacher, and then barricaded the door. Ricky Aspinwall, 39, died in the classroom. He leaves a wife and 2 young daughters.
She said that the group of students then barricaded the door and hid inside the classroom, waiting for help to come.
