Funny things about cultural sayings. Sometimes they can be found in other countries. For instance, in Denmark, there is an expression: He is so bow-legged, he couldn't catch a pig. And according to a friend from Yorkshire, they have the same expression. Who woulda thunk? Makes me wonder...
