I am getting really cross looking over the marking of our aqa lit paper 2s we’ve ordered back. Some massive undermarking. Detailed, analytical 4 page essays on AIC awarded Level 3 ‘some attempt’. Students are being let down by the exam board.

Lack of flexible working. Only option is to go part time - this is not the same as flexible hours. It means earning less and having a reduced pension in the future.

Would be really interesting to see a comparison of average mark awarded for Macbeth compared to R&J to see if the extracts did have an impact.

I’ll be interested to see how our students scored on this question. Frustrating that the disparity in extracts has not been seen acknowledged in the report then.

We’ve done far better in Lang than Lit this year. Lots of 8s and 9s in Language. I’m on holiday so haven’t looked at the breakdown of our marks yet but I’m wondering if the difficult R&J extract this year has impacted our cohort.

I get a first day back migraine every year. The overload of info is too much. This year we have 2 inset days and not 1 minute of that time is given over to us to get ready/sort out classroom etc. 2 days solid in the hall of scheduled meetings/talks etc 😮‍💨
