NLG has been asking that we not call the police stations en masse when protesters are arrested. It interferes with their ability to work, inflames police (which can further extend the situation) and prevents everyday people from being able to check the status of their loved ones.

Huh, I hadn’t seen this. Good to know. I’ve shared a few requests from local folks that put out asks to call the jails and police stations after encampments were sweeps. Will be more careful
