Biden should make it clear as possible, as soon as possible, that any member of congress who votes to override the legal outcome of the election will be thrown out of congress and prosecuted. It's a coup and you need to treat it like one or your power will be stolen by it!

You see, this is the problem with immediately trying to pivot to bipartisanship instead of clearing out all the rats. When Democrats had control of the House, after impeaching Trump, they could have begun expelling members who aided and abetted the insurrection, while the DOJ pressed charges.

The problem here is twofold. He doesn’t have the power to throw people out of Congress and he would be absolutely destroyed by the press for saying what you’re saying.

To be clear, that is like, the absolute bare minimum Biden must do in that situation. Like basic self-defense for him.

The only flaw in this is that it requires Biden and the democrats to have the self-preservation instincts God gave a dodo bird, which I'm not certain they do

You could respect existing constitutional and legal schemes for resolutions of electoral count disputes and make a show of respecting our institutions of government, rather than violate the Speech and Debate Clause.
