In the last 10 years, being a conservative Republican has gone from being a really bad moral and aesthetic decision, like emptying your kids' college fund to follow Staind on tour, to being a blacker than black mark against your soul, like selling your kids to fund your heroin habit.

My friends and family who support Trump and vote Republican may still be my friends and family, but there's a level of unease with them I will never get past. They've revealed something about themselves that is really ugly and disturbing. I can never look at them the same way.
