People have 'product review' brain where they think criticism is just listing off elements they didn't like or what they would have preferred. So much internet criticism of media is built around not engaging with art, but judging it entirely as a product to be consumed.

It's wild how we are able to share more thoughts and opinions with more people than at any time in the entire history of the known universe and we still just want to have the "cool" opinion. We're a funny little species.
