i was listening to a podcast complain about this exact thing. very clear they pulled punches in exchange for access/to maintain the Netflix/WWE relationship, and would have done so with Vince himself if he'd never fallen from power

That thing was just to launder the company’s image and show that everything is good and the problems weren’t systemic and the people in charge are all good now.

Throw in the facts of 1. There were two instances of DX in blackface in twelve months plus the outdoor segment where Paul puts on the stereotypical racist accent for South Asians and Dr Hung Lo during the Have A Bad Day ‘skits’ all magically forgotten.
