I’m as excited about this as the next person BUT there’s no confirmation that it *is* Irvine yet (let’s wait for the DNA results) PLUS it might very simply not solve the *mystery* at all, just like Mallory’s body didn’t solve it. #everest#irvine
Remains of Andrew “Sandy” Irvine found on Everest (disappeared in 1924 with Mallory). A longstanding mystery may be finally solved 100 years after mountaineers' disappearance. arstechnica.com/science/2024...

(@ Bijloke)
My first Percival Everett but certainly not my last! Retelling of Huck Finn from the POV of the slave Jim. Raced through it. (And I never read Huck Finn so I probably missed out on a lot!) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Het Paard aan de Kouter en ja: een hele bak! Aan de kassa 🙃
Movie 64/2024: Close (Dhont, 2022). Too close to the bone. I liked it but somehow got left missing something. Which probably fits the topic. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
I immensely enjoyed these series, though in different ways. ‘This England’ brought back a lot of painful memories. ‘Last Tango in Halifax’ is a star studded gem of a romcom(ish) series written by the excellent Sally Wainwright (also: Happy Valley, Gentleman Jack).
