Totally agree. Is it TF mentor training?

“It is not patronising to model the techniques you are trying to explain within your training session. If anything it improves the teachers understanding of the students experience.”

It has been published! What do you think about the chapter on INSET in there ?

...though slightly tedious, overall, I'm glad that the writers of this new suite of materials for ITT, the ECF, and NPQs, have thought about a coherent 'curriculum' for teacher professional development. The more practitioners are exposed to these good ideas, the more they will pervade and persist.🍎🎓

🍎🎓The NPQH includes some - arguably fairly basic - concepts about Teaching & Learning. While I have been living, breathing, and reading about this stuff for my whole career, and part of me hopes anyone else becoming a head will have too, another part of me knows there are other routes to headship...

excerpt from NPQH materials including:
effective teaching
how pupils learn
prior knowledge and misconceptions

I’ve liked whatever I’ve read by Patrick Ness and this is no exception. Amusingly I stayed up til almost 2am reading it, nearly as long as the author of this review. Quite Midnight-library esque but more YA. Will donate to the school library next. Thoughtful book with LGBT & depression themes. 🍎🎓🏳️‍🌈
