Always felt that text based social media was the domain of introverts

I don't find that to be the case, necessarily. All mediums are suitable to introverts, but more a matter of consuming vs producing. Writing can be as exhausting as anything else. It's also a matter of what behavior algos favor deciding what to surface by or for the user.
