At 17 she joined the Thaumaturge guild and eventually left to become an adventurer at 19. Thus begins the story of A Realm Reborn.

She spent the next 5 years working as a musician and dancer in the tavern, which was a front for a whorehouse and somnus den. My'rie, in a desperate attempt to forget her mother's death, turned to somnus. The Calamity hit when she was 15, and she spent the next few years getting clean.

At 13 an incident that ended in her mother's death led My'rie to flee. She eventually ended up on the streets of Ul'dah. After a time she learned that singing got her some gil to eat, which eventually caught the eye of a dance troupe who took her in

When My'rie was 5 years old My'fefri and My'rahli's mother disappeared in the middle of the night, after which their father became increasingly more violent. When she was 9 her brother My'haru disappeared as well, causing worse and worse abuse.

My'rie was born in a very isolated part of the Black Shroud, near the Ala Mhigan border. She has an older brother and two half sisters (one older one younger) Named My'haru, My'fefri and My'rahli in order of age.

Going to preface My'rie's general backstory with a few things. Trigger Warnings include: Physical Abuse, Drug addiction, Sex work, Underage. There's probably more but that should cover it. (note I do not necessarily condone these things, it's just a backstory I developed for my character)

She can't read particularly well and she's also just generally not all that smart, but she can hit things really well. The scions put so much faith in her which she is like "You're the smart people idk what you want from me" but then when push comes to shove she just gets the job done
