It's going to get much, much worse. As the song says, "You ain't seen nothin' yet." This is the tip of the iceberg as far as climate change goes. It's just getting started. In 10 years, who knows how bad it will be.
Get out of the area. Chlorine Gas is like air. It will pass through the N95 mask, just like Oxygen does.
The single damage estimate I heard so far for the effected area is "over 100 billion US Dollars". It will be a long time before they recover. And some of those towns are just gone forever.

Asheville, NC is over 480 miles from us by car. And that's where the worst of the flooding happened. Ashville, Hendersonville, all the little towns around them, and a big corner of Eastern Tennessee got pretty much destroyed. It will take a long time for them to recover.
We got a bit of rain on Friday. That's it. No bad weather at all this time around. Everything was to the west of us. I know they got a lot of rain in places like Roanoke. But that's over 200 miles from us. We're fine. Western North Carolina and Eastern Tennesse? Absolute nightmare.
Heard from them. They are OK. They escaped the flooding. But they did find leaks in the roof. As you can imagine, they are very tired.
