FWIW I cannot tell a difference between my 7 year old Samsung and the lg C3 oled I just got.
I think it has to do with model quality. For instance, the one I cannot stand is a 2020 model. The last time I bought a TV was 2017. It’s in my bedroom, and I still like that one more than the 2020 model. Both are by Samsung.
