What set Allende apart was his adherence to peaceful, constitutional change, a third way, unlike Cuba and the Soviet Union. I guess this is a good time as any to bring up a small read on one of his lesser known projects, Project Cybersyn. Just a little thing that maybe could've been.

My parents vividly remember the long queues for bread and other rationed necessities during Allende's government due to economic pressure from the US. Sadly, there's still many documents from those days that are confidential still. I just hope that, eventually, the entire truth can come to light.
