Except today was a smaller blanket.
It's an old Native American saying. "Only the white man would.... (What you said) & Believe that you have a bigger blanket" One of my favs. I forgot who said it originally.
It had purpose when we used oil to light street lamps etc but has been pointless for far too long.
Standard time is called Standard for a reason Everything else is a gimmick You can't fool the rotation of the Earth
But my daylight was saved..
I think it's more that the blanket is always being pulled slightly off of you, and you don't have a way to reverse it so you cut off the bottom and add it to the top. So you have a little bit more time under the warm blanket.
DST: when the earth's tilting pulls your blanket down off your shoulders and you pull it back up.
