I think I know a lot of people who assume I am happy about my adoption. it turns out the ways I am unhappy about it are sometimes really traumatic and I don’t always share that even with people I’m kind of close with. please don’t assume you know adoption success stories, that is a myth

one of my ex-boyfriends was adopted with his biological brother and they both had very strong, conflicting feelings about it. but very, very rarely shared that fact bc most ppl are actually not a safe place to share that with 🫂
