I actually love this in the way it highlights my frustration: American exceptionalism(re: white supremacy) is in the belief that it is not your responsibility to consider "the other" when engaging in the process of governance for the world superpower even while cognizant of its imperialism.

I went to see Boss Baby weeks after it came out and I was the only person in the theater. A win. Fire alarm happened so I went outside and they said they would reset the movies but they didn't reset mine. I just started crying alone in the theater and left before the end of the movie.
