Unfortunately, I made the mistake of emptying the drive's bin because I really didn't think it was linked to my desktop... I have also tried their "restoring to a previous date" feature, but to no success. Thank you very much for the link though, Kody!
They do have such a service, but somehow it only restores the folders but not the files (at least for me)... I have contacted their support, but I'm not really optimistic.
Thankfully my lettering files are backed up in Dropbox, but all my personal files were automatically synced with OneDrive (for reasons I don't know because I never agreed to that, I guess it's native to Windows 11). I'm pretty bummed right now.
So, today I've learnt that if you delete a file from OneDrive, it also deletes it from your computer with no chance of recovering it. In other news, I lost half the files on my computer.
It would be great if more writers/artists/publishers made more effort to include the letterer as part of the team. Simple things like cover credits, mentioning us and including us in PR, tagging us on social media. Royalties would also be nice. Basically not acting as if the letterer doesn't matter.
I'm also actively looking for new projects to letter, both immediately and throughout the year. I would appreciate any work inquiry and recommendations!
