Personally I love plagiarism. I do it whenever I get the chance. Nothing beats the thrill of copying a page of legal argument, letting a DOJ lawyer yell about how wrong it all is, and then telling the judge "btw I copied that page from the brief DOJ filed in this other case."

The entire legal profession runs on plagiarism. The number of times I've started from a blank page can be counted on two hands.

It takes some of the fight out of them when they have to then explain why they're taking mutually exclusive positions about the same law in different cases.
