It is a pretty neat experience to see the changes in your character over the years all from the same artist. So happy with how Gideon has evolved from 1.0 -> 2.0 -> 3.0 (the last two). The third image definitely cemented the 3.0 design as "the" Gideon design. 🎨 @nawka.bsky.social

No talent. Just a lot of practice, dedication, and persistence over a long period of time to push through the struggles of learning growth. Definitely achievable if you put your mind to it! We all start somewhere

And then the flipside is that one can't grow a certain amount of traffic/stability without name recognition, but that requires often becoming more feature rich or efficient than the ones that do have it, and getting to that point requires well... getting that funds that causes the problems again
It's kind of a catch-22 where most sites can't develop functionally past certain points without receiving massive funding, but the second they reach that threshold they're also held hostage to obligations to those who gave them the cash and then everything goes from there
