A lack of motivational drive is common in depression. Can we use vagus nerve stimulation to boost invigoration in patients with MDD? Our new preprint shows tVNS-induced gains in Session 1 that are largely maintained. Work w/ @akuehnel.bsky.socialwww.medrxiv.org/content/10.1...

Graphical abstract of our preprint non-invasive vagus nerve stimulation conditions increased invigoration and wanting in depression. Patients with depression and healthy control participants received VNS in a crossover study. We found that it increased invigoration and these gains were largely maintained.
