I can see why there was so much debate prep with Buttigieg.

Someone else made the point that Vance is good at soundbites and Walz at long form interviews. I agree; the format was an uphill climb for Walz. Also Walz, sweetie, stop taking notes to rebutt a 2 minute reply.

No worries, we'll just add a 20% tariff and magically those jobs will appear in the "clean" US with high incomes and not, you know, drive up consumer prices to pay the additional tariff costs.

My concern after the debate that Vance seemed more sure (even lying through his teeth), and that sells. He's also more photogenic on video - which shouldn't matter, but does. I pisses me off his poor country boy shtick works.

Walz got off a few zingers but otherwise it was a decent debate. No one lost it babbling and they respected the time and moderators. A bloodbath would have been more fun but I suppose there are a handful of undecideds who actually wanted policy positions.
