This is fun, but it's shitty English grammar, and that's what makes it laughable. The past participle "alarmed" may be said to have two meanings, one adjectival ("I'm very alarmed by this news") and one verbal, as in the passive ("I was alarmed by the news"). The usage here is an awful...
