please tell me why I instinctively recoil from 'piece' - I genuinely don't know why I don't like it
Absolutely love Brisbane! Great pics.
I love a non-fiction oral history... LOVE them. Yes, Yes, Y'all: The Experience Music Project Oral History of Hip Hop's First Decade stands out. Studio 54: The Legend by Anthony Haden-Guest. Casino: the rise and fall of the mob in Las Vegas. All just first person really, lovely stuff.
To be fair to IFLA, they don't talk about library CEOs... They talk about CEOs generally saying seeing the workforce returning to the office, but that they (the authors) believe employers need to understand the value of hybrid working.

I cannot recommend highly enough NOT using AI images in your library marketing and comms. They’re fast becoming a byword for inferior quality, and risk significant harm to the credibility of the institutions that use them. 📚
My timeline is full of people talking about how they don't get why anyone has an issue with the block button, but not a single example of anyone who actually *has* an issue with the block button.
I love, as I have said before, the multi-narrator format - it helps humanise the library and introduce students to staff from multiple areas of the org. I'm happy with the visual style. It's as brief as it can be without losing important info. It's an adaptable template, now.
I have finally got the library virtual tour to the point where it is genuienly updatable - the dream! 😱 This year I added some footage of our new sensory rooms, moved some stuff about, and re-recorded some of the narration. 📚 It took 3 hours; sometimes it's taken me 3 days... youtu.be/Acv8b70fZVE
