Based on priorities for current EU team: Georgia is a potential incoming member, which, if delivered, limits the ambitions of an imperial Russia, which has implications for Ukrainian victory, security and accession as well as Moldova etc... The UK-EU relations aren't changing much by comparison.

So where does the lazy media consensus that migration overall is unpopular come from? Largely the misperception (driven by lazy/malicious media coverage) that asylum/irregular migration numbers are *much* higher than they really are.

Agreed. And does it matter if it is a/an (or, one of my many) echo chamber(s)? As I am not a journalist, I'm not paid to find alternative views. I am here to gather news and insights from sources (here, people) I've learnt to trust, rather like I use favourite news sources.
