It was all in my mind-- the corporate conspiracy, the superintelligent computer. The whole affair fades into a hazy memory as I light up a Philip Morris and stare at the paperweight. Sometimes the facts just don't align.

I may have been overly swayed by the futuristic font and the high-tech name. The ALIGN Single Servers II Modular System was probably not a supercomputer. I now believe it was a soda dispensing rack of some sort. patents.justia.com/patent/4685574
