i hate how all domain registrars sort "price" by the initial cost, not the recurring fee... as if i'm not gonna keep the domain around for more than a year

registrars make a decent amount of money tricking people into registering domains for ridiculously cheap prices, then hiding the renewal fees. namecheap for instance makes you go through a little brain puzzle to find out how much your domain actually costs long term

i do like how cloudflare just charges the ICANN fees -- even if it means they are slightly more expensive up front than others, their rates seem more stable. unfortunately they don't have dot moe
