Yeah, I'm having a similar experience with my toddler nephews, especially the older one. I accidentally got him obsessed with Spider-Man, but I try my best to let him figure out what he enjoys, and go along with that.

You will reap the rewards! Mine now 18 & 20 (WTF?!) & have introduced me to so much music, art, writing - formats & platforms, even - sometimes also referencing stuff known via me, maybe saying derivative/inspired-by & knowing difference. Means we’ve still lots to just chat about, beyond “family”.
