This article still says the gender neutral restrooms are "to accommodate LGBTQ+ students" and I'm aware that cis people are about to tediously explain to me why cis gay students might use them while ignoring that trans students are at enormous risk of physical & sexual violence.

I don't pretend to even begin to understand the nuances here so apologies if I offend but can't straight CIS people use gender neutral facilities as well? To me, whoever thought up the whole observation window for minors using the bathroom should have their hard drive contents checked PDQ.
