This is a stoplight chart of common food recommendations across the studies to "unclog arteries". The "green light" foods recommended across all studies: fruits and vegetables, legumes, whole grains, some dairy. The "yellow light" foods recommended that are in some not all trials: healthy fats (not saturated or transfats), nuts, olive oil, fish and seafood, eggs, white means. The "red light" foods that all studies suggest limiting: junk food, refined grains, cookies, cakes, sugary cereal, sugary beverages, chips, large amounts of butter, large amounts of red meat and fatty meats, large amounts of alcohol.
