I've put some (but not all) back on since I eased up on the strict diet, but I've kept to oat milk and sugar alternatives which is helping a lot.

I lost 5 stones in a year following the diabetic diet plan: half a plate of vegetables to a quarter plate protein and a quarter plate carbs, trying to keep under 10g of sugars, as little highly processed food and as much fibre as possible. Good luck!
