no no, i think you misunderstood my use of "impersonal" as *beyond/above personal" or transcendent. thats what i mean, is that when you say something is "personal" it means it is immanent, but God is the transcendent. God can also have personal or immanent expressions but He is transcendent to them

I guess I'm still confused by what you mean by "beyond/above personal". In both the OT and NT, God is presented as a God who desires a personal relationship with us.
