Welp, guess I'm feeling a tad inspired. I got an idea for an XYZ (and sorta the whole anime?) rewrite, hopefully with some good concepts thrown in (in le thread format). 1. Ash actually ages. For XYZ, let's put him at 16 (1 year for each region, and since it's Gen 6, we'll do 16.)

2. Foreshadowing the Battle Bond to a greater extent. Well take various moments with Froakie/Frogadier where Ash begins to feel slight pain during battles, and when Battle Bond occurs, let's throw in various POV shots where Ash can just straight-up see what Greninja is seeing.
