#tinyjoys that are actually hugely big joys - sending my grandparents off together, after 68 yrs of marriage. Having the wake at the local stadium and them putting their picture on the big screen after they gave so much to local Football and their community in Wooldale. Lives well lived

Church friends/friends of faith/friends who send good wishes and pom poms - it is my grandparents funeral in the morning. Reality of it only hit today as I checked my suit still fits (just!) and dug out my grandad's pocketwatch to wear. Would value prayers/hugs/good thoughts for my family ❤️🙏🏻

Thankful for one of the serving team who figured out climbing up into the pulpit meant they could pass it up to me after it inevitably fell short! But it was a glorious few minutes of spectacularly failing attempts

I'm *not* saying Verger Boy in Training (son of the DoM) and I tied a teddy to the end of a huge rainbow coloured ribbon and attempted to throw it across from one gallery to the other so it stretched across the aisle whilst the Bishop was still in the building but.... we kind of did #oops?

The (joint) funeral of my grandparents is on Monday. A friend who took over as chair of the local Football Association after my grandad retired after many years just dropped by with flowers for my mum, aunt, and cousin, and to lend dad and I Association ties. Might be a little weepy rn #tinyjoys
