The Uncommitted Movement failed because it has the worst structural bargaining position in the fucking world. It was a fool's fight to begin with, but that doesn't mean it wasn't or isn't a fight worth fighting.

These sorts of takes remind me of all the WSWS articles that say about every single failed labor strike, "workers lost because union bureaucrats BETRAYED the people." Sometimes it's not nefarious and we just lose because we have less power!
Like you could argue they didn't go far enough or didn't play closer to the campaign or whatever, but at the end of the day I think it would have mostly ended the same. A lot of stuff in history is like this and it's incredibly demoralizing, but there it is.
