New research of a massive study cohort supports the hypothesis that long COVID risk compounds with subsequent reinfections. Time to rethink our strategies?
I really am curious as to how one would sort cause-and-effect here. If I phrase it backwards ("People whose immune systems cannot effectively clear COVID19 suffer from worsening chronic symptoms and occasional acute flareups") wouldn't it describe the same thing?
Well, my strategy is still to avoid situations that risk respiratory virus infections, mask when I can’t avoid them, and stay up on vaccinations
Actually according to the study (as well as another it cites), long covid incidence declined rapidly from 2020 to 2021, possibly as people developed immunity and got access to vaccines.
What strategies?
Sure, let's. My mom is in the hospital right now and couldn't go to the hospital she wanted bc it's full of COVID patients and we were all surprised bc literally no one is talking/reporting about it. 😡
Spoiler: they won't. Money means more than lives. All hail Profit.
I settled on my strategy a long time ago.
Right but what if instead every time you brought up COVID being bad, the most insufferable jerkasses on the internet scream at you indefinitely
... or maybe make a strategy, bc there sure isn't one now.
