you know what few things in graphic design make me happier than seeing a poster for a jazz event where the J in jazz is a saxophone, it's just one of those little design clichés that just makes me point at it and go hah nice the J is a sax

one of my first jobs at an agency asked me to make a logo for a film festival, and i made the 'F' a clapboard as my very first thumbnail, the the art director was like, 'yeah we aint gonna get any better than that' and that's what they went with. i was flabbergasted lol
