Imperial Japan was a fascist, aggressive empire from hell which had many opportunities to stop waging war and yet stopped at nothing. Only when confronted with certain obliteration they surrendered. In 2024 Japanese society still behaves self-servingly, glossing over some very inconvenient facts.
