I mentioned in someone's replies that a darker possibility was that the malicious neglect that killed Nex Benedict was on the part of the hospital that released them with a TBI instead of the school & stuff like this isn't making me think that scenario is *less* likely

not an expert but I do recall a recent case of a young girl who got hit in traffic, suffered a head injury, went to the ER, got sent home and died the next day, so I'm not sure how uncommon this scenario is
