I was wondering because they look similar in size to the downy and hairy woodpeckers we have on the other side of the pond. And thankfully those are very common. I always have tons of them at my suet and seed feeders.

We get a lot of the great spotted woodpecker variety where I live which is on the edge of London. The green one has attempted to nest in one of my neighbour's tree.
