I’m not a speaker of #TeReo by any stretch of the imagination but it’s a warm feeling when I can listen to kōrero, understand kupu and the gist of what’s being said. From a language teacher’s POV, this means I’m learning! 🥳✌️#TeWikiOTeReoMāori

Just had a similar experience listening to German. Did I understand all he was saying? No. But I did understand what he was talking about

I agree. I feel so heartened by it. And, that it's part of my learning process.
