Those kids at WKCR (it's basically a jazz station) went from introducing Ornette Coleman sets to defending journalistic integrity. And they did it on the fly; because they were there and they knew it was the right thing to do!
These students are going to win a Pulitzer for their reporting and that's going to be so fucking awkward for Columbia.
Do they recognize spin? Do they recognize complicity? Do they recognize genocide? Do they recognize a fucking thing they're not given permission to recognize?
The actual correct thing for them to do is to hold the award ceremony as part of the encampment in solidarity. The VIP attendees can either help or get fucked.
Give those kids all the awards. They did a spectacular job.
